D:Ream - U R The Best Thing

Here's a real blast from the past.

This is one of those songs that I wanted to be about someone I cared for before I had actually met anyone and then once I did it became the ringtone for her on my phone!

Therefore I think this more than qualifies as one of my ultimate love songs!

These days I think they're better known for their folow-up single, 'Things Can Only Get Better' which was famously used in Tony Blair's election campaign. And instead things just went horribly wrong for D:Ream after that.

The 12" versions of both songs were my favourites although I do remember that between the two songs both being re-released on separate occasions the CD's actually contained a stupid number of remixes.

Still, at least they created something worth remembering.
